Description:  With the Newburgh NYC Station in the shadows, this train is a combination of 2 northbound trains, which had to be put together and towed north because of several engine problems. This train struggled with the Newburgh grade, creeping by at about 5 mph. There were 6 engines, and only a couple seemed to be doing anything.

Description:  The conductor was trying to re-start engine #53 as it stalled 10 miles back. The engineer said it was reading no fuel pressure. They stopped at the next siding and did a diagnostic over the radio w/mechanical div. and got the engine going again. The engineer said the train would not have made it up the West Park grade about 30 miles to the north if they didn't get it re-started.
